Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in an awesome game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, not like the majority of other poker games that players compete against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players don’t have to be concerned about any other, more knowledgeable individuals taking their $$$$.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers should be able to take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied choices.
It’s also easier to bet on for an extended time with basically a little bit of money after all, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards face down.
A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
