Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the western in a fantastic game for early level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers bet with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not need to fret about other, more advanced people winning their moolla.

One more Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game pace, beginners can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick selections.

It’s also much simpler to gamble on for a very long time with only a little amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands has to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand must be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
